so, i am breaking my nearly year-long hiatus (i have a lot of these) because i pretty much jizzed my pants in the movie theatre.

i am talking about STAR TREK, of course! first off, i love J.J. Abrams. secondly, this movie owned my face. the only thing that bothers me is trying to compare young kirk (who owns), to old kirk (shatner)... and... well... it just doesn't work. but HEY! whatever! new star trek is the shit.


also, i am STUPIDLY excited about Transformers 2. Okay, so its pretty much the first movie all over again, but... its Transformers. Shit happens, world is in trouble, bigger and badder bad guys show up, and the good guys get their asses kicked but somehow miraculously save the day! Also, Megan Fox is in it... which is just as good a reason as any to watch it, in my opinion. (ANNNND, she's supposedly working on a Fathom movie, which would be cool... its my fiance's favourite comic book!).


and of course, G.I. Joe. While they aren't the all-american super army, at least they are the world's best (and most multicultural) this time around. AND they're more like ninja's than army soldiers.... and considering my love for ninjas, this is a plus! and come on... COBRA! so badass.


i absolutely love how geekery and nostalgia is abounding in movies and pop culture. its just awesome.
