i don't like how this turned out. i liked the idea, and the drawing. but i hate the colouring.

and seems like drawing a background with a mouse is impossible. because, believe me, i tried.

blah, i'm sick, and my nose hurts from using so much kleenex.

Okay guys, SORRY about my crabby mood when i uploaded this picture. I was just so upset about the lack of a background that i ended up being upset at everything about it... haha... whoops?

Anyways, just so no one else gets confused about what is going on in this, i'll explain it!

The girl is a... well... i suppose "nymph" is a good word... lets say they're both nymphs. She is a water nymph, and he is a forest/wood/tree nymph (take your pick ). Anyways, i was trying to capture a sort of... "forbidden love", in a sense... and how love between different cultures and races is a beautiful thing. BUT! Sometimes, there is a sense of distance between people of different cultures and races... and it isn't necessarily their fault... but sometimes people who fall in lvoe with people who are "different" have people from the outside trying to distance them.

Am i making sense? Basically, i wanted to show love (through her being pregnant with his child), and yet a sense of alienation (because of their differences, and them trying to overcome it, and anything/anyone who tries to come between them). Its about overcoming obstacles to be together. Because different is beautiful.

And although she is the one reaching out physically, there are leaves blowing towards her... to represent that she isn't the only one reaching out, but that he is, too.

Phew... that's a hefty description. Sorry!
